Closures & Updates

For temporary trail closure information due to wet weather, please call (408) 355-2200, option 4.

Anderson Lake County Park

  • Anderson Lake, Woodchoppers, and Toyon Picnic Area are closed due to dam construction until approximately 2030.

Ed R. Levin County Park

  • A section of the Spring Valley Trail is closed indefinitely due to a slide.

Field Sports Park

  • The park will be closed for paving October 17 - October 21.

Metcalf Motorcyle County Park

  • The park will be closed for a special event October 7-9.

Mozart Bridge (along Los Gatos Creek Trail)

  • The bridge will be closed for deck and handrail repairs from September 12 through October 4.

Penitencia Creek

  • Upper Penitencia Creek is closed to all fishing year round.

Sanborn County Park

  • Summit Rock is closed February 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022.

Stevens Creek County Park

  • Stevens Creek Reservoir is closed to boating as of Sept 11, 2020 due to low water level.

  • The Stevens Creek Ranger Office and Visitor Center will be closed April - August 2022 for renovation upgrades. This includes a new roof, accessible entrance, restroom, lighting, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and flooring. 

Upper Stevens Creek County Park

  • Beginning Tuesday, July 19, Table Mountain Trail will be closed until April 2023 for repair. The trail will be unsafe for the public once the work begins. Charcoal Road will remain open, but visitors will not be able to connect through to the Canyon Trail on the Table Mountain Trail. 

Vasona Lake County Park

  • The Playground will be closed starting Monday, Sept 12 through Friday, Sept 16 for trail resurfacing.

Uvas Canyon County Park

  • A reservation must be made before entering Uvas Canyon. Reservations are required seven (7) days a week including weekends and holidays beginning Jan 1, 2021.

  • The bridge on the single track section of the Waterfall Loop has been closed due to safety concerns.  Please use the adjacent fire road to bypass the bridge. Review the map for details.

Confirmation of your reservation must be printed and placed on your dashboard when parked inside of Uvas Canyon County Park.​

Coyote Creek / Parkway Lakes / Ogier Ponds / Guadalupe River (South of the Reservoir)​

Call (408) 355-2200 before you travel to make sure your park or reservoir of choice is open.
