Almaden Quicksilver County Park

The following trails will be closed May 15 - September 20, 2023 - Monday through Friday. The trails will be open on weekends.

Alviso Marina County Park

The Alviso Park parking lots will be closed for a special event on Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13, reopening Sunday, October 15, 2023 at noon. Join us for Day on the Bay, Saturday October, 14 from 10am-3pm. Limited street parking is available.
Anderson Lake County Park

Anderson Lake, Woodchoppers, and Toyon Picnic Area are closed due to dam construction until approximately 2030.
Ed R. Levin County Park

A section of the Spring Valley Trail is closed indefinitely due to a slide.
- Monument Peak Road (1750ft Launch Site Road) is closed indefinitely due to damage. No vehicular travel permitted. All others should exercise extreme caution if using the road and plan alternate trail routes.
Grant County Park

Due to road work on Mt. Hamilton Road, access to Joseph Grant Park is only accessible via Quimby Road. Please note that Quimby Road is very narrow and is not suitable for RV's and large trailers. Info about closure can be found here.
Mt. Madonna
- Loop Trail is closed between Mt. Madonna Rd and Junction 24.
- Redwood trail is closed between Junction 69 and 70.
Penitencia Creek
- Upper Penitencia Creek is closed year-round to fishing.
Sanborn County Park

Summit Rock is closed Monday - Friday. It is open on weekends and holidays.

The south section of the Ohlone Trail and the Ohlone staging area will be closed from September 5 through November 2023 for bridge construction (Narrows and Stuart Ridge will remain open).

Sections throughout Sanborn County Park will be closed in rotation for periods of 4 to 6 weeks starting from September 11th through summer 2024 for crucial fuel reduction projects for the Los Gatos Creek Watershed Forest Health Project. The John Nicholas Trail (the section between Black Road and Lake Ranch Trail, Upper John Nicholas, Summit Rock, Indian Rock, Sunnyvale Meadow, and Skyline Trail will be closed on weekdays only from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Please contact the park directly for current trail closure information.
Upper Stevens Creek
- Charcoal Fire Road and Table Mountain Trails will be closed on weekdays for the Los Gatos Creek Watershed Forest Health Plan beginning September 7 through November 2023.
Uvas Canyon County Park

Alec Canyon Trail past Junction 11 is closed.

The bridge on the single-track section of the Waterfall Loop has been closed due to safety concerns. Use the adjacent fire road to bypass the bridge. Review the map for details.

A reservation must be made before entering Uvas Canyon. Reservations are required seven (7) days a week, including weekends and holidays beginning Jan 1, 2021.
Confirmation of your reservation must be printed and placed on your dashboard when parked inside of Uvas Canyon County Park.

Coyote Creek / Parkway Lakes / Ogier Ponds / Guadalupe River (South of the Reservoir)
- Fishing has resumed as of the last Saturday in April 2023. The season will close again November 15, 2023. Reference CA Dept of Fish and Wildlife Sportfishing Regulations for more information.

Casa Grande/New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum
- Due to a lack of heat, the New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum located in the historic Casa Grande is temporarily closed until repairs can be made. We do not have a timeline on when PG&E will complete the repairs. Sorry for the inconvenience.
