Closures & Updates

Almaden Quicksilver County Park

  • Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum is open in a limited capacity. Please stop by to enjoy our mining exhibits; however, the gift shop and Victorian Rooms are closed.

Anderson Lake County Park

  • Anderson Lake, Woodchoppers, and Toyon Picnic Area are closed due to dam construction until approximately 2030.

Ed R. Levin County Park

  • A section of the Spring Valley Trail is closed indefinitely due to a slide.

Penitencia Creek

  • Upper Penitencia Creek is closed to all fishing year round.

Sanborn County Park

  • Summit Rock is closed February 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022.

Stevens Creek County Park

  • Stevens Creek Reservoir is closed to boating as of Sept 11, 2020 due to low water level.

  • The Stevens Creek Ranger Office and Visitor Center will be closed April - August 2022 for renovation upgrades. This includes a new roof, accessible entrance, restroom, lighting, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and flooring. 

Uvas Canyon County Park

  • Uvas Canyon County Park
    A reservation must be made before entering Uvas Canyon. Reservations are required seven (7) days a week including weekends and holidays beginning Jan 1, 2021.

Vasona County Park

  • Vasona will be closed to vehicle traffic on May 21st from 8:00AM to 11:00AM for the Girls on the Run event. The race will have an impact on the Los Gatos Creek trail throughout Vasona.

Confirmation of your reservation must be printed and placed on your dashboard when parked inside of Uvas Canyon County Park.​

Coyote Creek / Parkway Lakes / Ogier Ponds / Guadalupe River (South of the Reservoir)​

  • All fishing is currently prohibited in these waterways. Fishing will resume on the last Saturday in April 2022. The season will close again November 15, 2022. Please reference​ for more information.
