Careers in Countywide Trails

The Countywide Trails program works to implement the Countywide Trails Master Plan, supporting regional connectivity and the development of a comprehensive network of over 800 miles of regional, sub-regional, and connector trails across Santa Clara County. The Countywide Trails program strives to advance equitable public access and sustainable trails that provide regional benefits related to outdoor recreation, public health, active transportation, and climate goals.

The Countywide Trails program provides high-level oversight and recommendations related to regional trails and the Countywide Trails Master Plan. The program conducts trail-related research and analysis, conceptual routing and design of trails, communications and outreach, and other strategic actions to further the development of countywide trails. The Countywide Trails program works collaboratively with other Department units, local and regional partners, decision-makers, and the public to advance the countywide trails network.
