Careers in Parks Natural Resources
The Natural Resources Management (NRM) program nurtures open spaces in which wildlife and humans thrive. Through strategic land management actions, the program protects and improves natural habitats, and fosters climate‐adaptable regional landscapes.
NRM also includes the department's Trails Crew who plan and build trails that bring people to nature and connect our parks.
Natural Resources Management’s stewardship of natural resources is informed by professional expertise, research and data, and prioritization of the strategic goals of the Santa Clara County Parks system. We focus on large scale resource improvement, and work shoulder to shoulder with many partners, both internal and external, to create and maintain healthy connected landscapes. We strive to inspire the public to understand, foster and fund the region’s natural open spaces.
