Careers in Parks Planning & Compliance

Parks Planning and Compliance team provides the foundation on which Department facilities, resources, and programs are built and managed. The team ensures that the Department’s projects and land use decisions are well‐informed and planned in context of available resources. Planning and Compliance specializes in providing decision‐ready recommendations based on data, research, and public outreach.  

The Planning and Compliance team evaluates and performs research and analysis to ensure environmental and regulatory considerations are fully addressed. The group researches recreational trends, site characteristics, historical information, and other topics related to planning and design, and provides key planning and design recommendations in balance with resource protection and stewardship goals.
