We are often looking for ways to protect nature, but sometimes nature protects us! This program will teach you about raptors in Martial Cottle Park, with a special focus on barn owls, and feature a demonstration of how we monitor the park’s owl boxes.
This program will meet at the Martial Cottle Park Visitor Center and will include a very short walk on paved paths in Martial Cottle Park. Families are encouraged to attend. There is a $6 fee to park within the park.

Watch the exciting track bike racing season at Hellyer County Park Velodrome. Races are held every Wednesday night through Sept 21. Come out and watch up to two hours of non-stop racing action under the lights!
The track opens around 6pm and racing starts promptly at 6:45pm. The racers consist of various groups: women and men, beginners through experts. This educational program for adults will introduce participants to the natural history of Santa Clara County with an emphasis on the region’s geology, native plants, and common wildlife. You will hear each week from guest speakers and scientists about the natural history our parks preserve. We will meet together over four sessions.
