The Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation is responsible for a variety of functions and programs that may include organizing, managing, and directing the operations and activities of an assigned division of the County Parks and Recreation Department, and may serve as the department head in the absence of the Director.

Park Ranger I (Closes 6/7/2024)

Park Rangers provide crucial services to County Park users such as public safety services, protecting and preserving natural and cultural resources in parks, and outreach through public programming. Being a Park Ranger is a physically demanding job from boat and ATV patrol to wildland fire response, and rescue operations with rewarding outcomes making Santa Clara County Parks one of the most interesting places to work.

Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst (Closes 5/20/2024)

Under supervision, to provide spatial analysis, reporting, mapping, mapping application and technical support; to maintain and update the database using GIS and related software packages, and to prepare and develop data for distribution to county departments, the public, local, state and federal agencies, to provide spatial analytics for customers' needs, and create and integrate GIS applications for broader use of GIS.
