Traveling Trunks Educational Kits

Educational kits, also called  “Traveling Trunks,” are available for rent for $20/week for up to 2 weeks. Pickup and drop-off aretypically done at either the Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum in San Jose or the Anderson Lake Visitor Center in Morgan Hill. Native American Traveling Trunk

This trunk is designed to support the Chitactac school program but can be checked out by educators throughout the County whether or not they attend the field trip program. The lesson plans and materials support learning standards for 3rd and 4th grade, and contents include high-quality replicas of such items as a deer bone rattle, dried acorns, cooking basket, deer pelt, staves game, and a tule mat, as well as a map and teaching guide.
