The track bike racing season has begun at Hellyer County Park Velodrome. Races are held every Wednesday night through Sept 21. Come out and watch up to two hours of non-stop racing action under the lights!
The track opens around 6pm and racing starts promptly at 6:45pm. The racers consist of various groups: women and men, beginners through experts. The San Jose Zouaves Juniors Program is held on the second Saturday of every month, and all shooters must be signed in by 8:30 AM. Depending on group size, you can expect the day to complete anywhere from 11:30 AM - 1PM. The program is open to children from 10-20 years of age and is free to all. However if you wish to donate to the Program we will gladly accept a contribution of $5 per shooter to help cover ammunition and target costs.

If you are looking to get outside and connect with new people right in your backyard, this is the opportunity for you! California native plants play an important role in the health of our parks. To help them thrive, we have to work together to remove non-native and invasive plants.
This event is in partnership with Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful.
Vaccination verification will not be required for volunteer events that are outside and one-time or short-term in nature. If you wish to apply as a Long Term volunteer (18 and older), or volunteer working indoors, you will be required to show proof of vaccination and all boosters for which you are eligible. Regardless of your vaccination status, do not attend a volunteer event if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID-19. Click here for Santa Clara County's COVID-19 Guidelines. Imagine a day in the life of a mercury miner and other 19th century residents of New Almaden at this fun family event featuring games, crafts, live music, and demonstrations, and mining-era activities for all ages. Food will be available for purchase.
Event will be held at the New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum (Casa Grade) located at 21350 Almaden Road, San Jose, CA 95120.
No registration required, just come on by between 11am and 3pm!
Dogs are not allowed on the museum grounds or inside the museum with the exception of service animals.

Location: Steven's Creek County Park, Bay Tree Picnic Area (11401 Stevens Canyon Rd Cupertino, CA 95014).
Come experience Steven’s Creek County Park at sunset! Join a Park Interpreter for this 1 mile walk along unpaved trails where we will use our 5 senses to explore the park and learn about some of the amazing adaptations our local creatures have to help them survive! Please bring a flashlight. $6 parking fee applies (payable by machine at the first parking lot on the left as you drive in).
