Earth Day Youth Art Contest

Calling all young artists pre-K to 12th grade! Celebrate Earth Day and Santa Clara County Parks by sharing your creative and original artwork. Let’s celebrate Earth Day by showing how you might save the planet by reducing the use of plastics or sharing what Earth Day means to you. Submissions accepted April 1-30.

Parks Administration Office Move

Effective April 8, 2024, the Santa Clara County Parks Administration Office will be relocating from its current address at Vasona Lake County Park (298 Garden Hill Drive, Los Gatos, CA) to a brand-new location at 5965 Silver Creek Valley Road, San José, CA 95138.   Learn More.

This FREE special event at beautiful Stevens Creek Reservoir will include community resources focused on protecting our water systems, fun water-related activities, and boater and water safety. All ages and leashed pets welcome. Event is at the Lakeshore Picnic Area.

We invite you to join Santa Clara County Parks Natural Resource Management team, in partnership with San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, in their efforts to restore the coastal habitat of Alviso Marina County Park.

Volunteers will assist in the removal of invasive plants and the spreading of mulch in preparation for the planting of native plants.

Please bring sturdy gloves, closed toe shoes (boots if possible), proof of vaccination, and your can-do attitudes!

Celebrate National Pollinator Week by joining Martial Cottle Park at our 3rd Annual Native Plant and Pollinator Day event. Learn about the importance of pollinators and how native plants help them.

Native Plant and Pollinator Guided Walk

The 30-minute guided walk will be about .5 a mile round trip on paved paths. Families are encouraged to attend.  Meet at the Martial Cottle Park Partner Lot at 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM to join.

Designed for adults 55+, these 2-hour excursions are a great way to meet fellow park enthusiasts and enjoy park trails in the comfort of a group. Bring water, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes.
This stroll will meet at the Coyote Creek Visitor Center at Anderson Lake County Park and follow an easy 1-2 mile route along the Nature Trail.
